Meet the Billy Elliot Cast – Grace Olah

Where do you live now and where do you come from?
I live in Franklin Massachusetts and I was born in Framingham, Massachusetts.

What role are you playing?  What do you like best about your character?
I am playing Debbie Wilkinson.  Debbie is quirky and speaks her mind-she is direct and it’s super fun to play her.

What character would you love to play some day?
This is my third time being in Billy Elliot and I always wanted to play Debbie Wilkinson actually!  I am obsessed with Phantom of the Opera and playing Christine would be super amaaaazing!

How do you like Portsmouth? Have you found any favorite spots to visit or eat?
I LOVE the Treehouse Toy store and all the views of the water.  There are too many places to name but I love the candy store Kilwins….ooooo a favorite for sure the have fabulous fudge.  I’m eating some right now. My mom just adores their caramel apples.  WOW

If you could only eat three things for the rest of your life, what would those three things be?
I would definitely eat fudge, ice cream, and cheese puffs.  If I had more choices I would say candy and cranberry sauce.

What is your guilty pleasure?
I love squishies but EATING CANDY is a definite guilty pleasure!

What scares you most?
I. HATE. SPIDERS.

Do you have a favorite quote?
My favorite quote comes from one of my favorite books WONDER.  “When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind”

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Eating candy in my super swag dorm room in New York City.

Who inspires you the most? 
Rachel Bertone-her work ethic and kindness ROCK!  She is simply amazing and loves kids.  She has taught me so much and I am so grateful.  My mom and dad inspire me to for driving crazy distances with juggling 4 kids- 3 of them are in theater!

What is your favorite theater you’ve ever worked in and why is it the Seacoast Rep?
Seacoast rep has given me such an amazing theater family and it’s super cool-I love that a lot of it is underground.  The sets are amazing.  The people that work there are phenomenal!

What question do you wish we asked you? What do you want people to know about you?
I LOVE the Best Buddy program at my school-I’ve been a member of the program for 3 years and I love helping kids with special needs. My buddy loves to sing so we sing together a lot. A question perhaps is why are you a neat freak? I just like things organized. My room is the neatest room in the house.

Pets – yes or no?
YES!!  I have a goldendoodle named Lucy.  She is 50 pounds of fuzzy love.  We are also begging dad for a cat.  Hint.  Hint…..thanks dad
