Tick Tick...Boom

Before there was RENT, there was a Boom!

A show about coming up on Broadway, and what it costs.

Tick Tick…Boom

October 8th – November 1st

This autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer of Rent tears up the Seacoast Rep stage this fall.

Tick Tick…Boom! is the story of a failing and flailing Broadway composer on the brink of turning 30 as he lurches towards success. Jon’s girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city, his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and yet Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical. Tick Tick…Boom! celebrates holding onto your dreams against all odds through life’s most difficult challenges. Set for nostalgia in 1990, Tick, Tick…Boom! is a compelling story of personal discovery presented as a rock musical that takes you on the playwright/composer’s journey which led to a Broadway blockbuster. You saw RENT, now see how it got there.
