Meet the Billy Elliot Cast – Grace Olah
February 14, 2019Meet the Billy Elliot Cast – Penelope Johnson
February 28, 2019Where do you live now and where do you come from?
I was born in Methuen, MA but I now live in Georgetown, MA with my amazing parents and two younger brothers, Alec and James.
What role are you playing? What do you like best about your character?
I play Small Boy and Posh Boy. Small Boy is a fellow boxer of Billy’s and has a funny sense of humor. What I like most about Posh Boy is that he has a big heart and cares if someone feels down or sad. He tries to find a way to cheer Billy up but it didn’t go as he had planned. I feel like I can relate to both of these characters!
What character would you love to play some day?
I have two dream roles. One is Peter Pan and the other is of course is Billy Elliot. I’ve always wanted to know what it feels like to fly and I would get to experience that with both of these characters.
How do you like Portsmouth? Have you found any favorite spots to visit or eat?
Portsmouth is a great town filled with amazing places to eat and visit. If I had to pick one favorite restaurant, it would be the Portsmouth Brewery! The burgers there are juicy and delicious! I also got to visit the USS Albacore Museum. It was really cool to be inside an actual submarine and see how they lived in such a small space.
If you could only eat three things for the rest of your life, what would those three things be?
If I could only eat three things for the rest of my life, they would be tacos, ice cream, and brownies.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ice cream and pastries are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine! I also love dressing up in costumes and making iMovies with my brothers.
What scares you most?
I absolutely HATE getting shots, watching horror movies, and seeing blood. No thanks!
Do you have a favorite quote?
I actually have two favorite quotes and they are both by Dr Seuss. “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.” The other one is “Be who you are and say what you feel. Because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” These quotes are very inspirational to me.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In 10 years I see myself auditioning for Broadway musicals and musical movies also. I hope to have 2 dogs of my own, a Bernice Mountain dog and an Australian Labradoodle. I’m allergic to dogs actually but I don’t care… I just love them!
Who inspires you the most?
My parents inspire me the most because they always help me when I am stressed or feeling strong emotions. They also take my brothers and I to tons of activities and spend all their free time doing stuff for us.
What is your favorite theater you’ve ever worked in and why is it the Seacoast Rep?
I love that the Seacoast Rep is mostly underground. Its such a cool space. The production team also works so hard to make this wonderful show come to life!
What question do you wish we asked you? What do you want people to know about you?
I am a super geek! I love Super Heroes, Star Wars, and Harry Potter!
Pets – yes or no?
YES! I have one dog- a black lab named Riley. She’s almost 13. But I wish I had 1,700 puppies!
